Vinegar
Vinegar is a ricking solution to acne and blemishes which causes redness. It kills the bacteria that leads to these blemishes and thus kills the problem from the root. To apply this, mix 1 part of vinegar to 3 parts of water and apply directly to the blemishes. You can leave it for 10 minutes and then wash it off. People use it overnight as well. You can apply and reapply it for several times for quicker healing. Just ensure to use a moisturizer once you clean it off.
Milk and Honey
This one is a class mask for people with a severe problem. If you think the redness is pretty much covering your face, this mask would help you win over it for sure. For this you need to take any form of milk other than skim milk – low fat or full fat. Mix thoroughly, one tablespoon each of milk and honey. Do ensure to use the milk at room temperature. Apply this mixture with a cotton swab on your face. Let one coat dry before applying the other one. Once you are satisfied with the coverage, stop it there. Leave it for10-15 minutes and then using a washcloth, gently scrub and remove it off. Do moisturize.
Papaya
Papaya is another way to get rid of acne. Apply mashed papaya on your face and leave it for 10-15 minutes before you remove it.
Tea Tree Oil
Other oil types might appear to be problematic for such skin but tea tree oil is more of a solvent for acne prone skin. You need to mix 1 part of tea tree oil to 8-9 parts of water and apply. It would help cut the sebum and what would result is a clearer skin.
Strawberry
Mashing strawberries with honey is another good way to tell your skin that you care. Use it regularly to feel the difference that a mashed strawberry and honey.
Lemon Juice
Use lemon juice directly as it would help you fight the acne directly due to its citric acid. If it stings by any chance, you could mix it with yogurt and use.
Garlic
I remember sharing it earlier as well, garlic as a solution to reddishness and acne has been quite fruitful. Mash 2-3 cloves of garlic and mix it with water. Let it get mixed properly before you use a cotton swab to apply it. You can also use aloe vera gel to use along in case you do not have a cotton swab or a washcloth as it would be a runny mixture to deal with.
Avocado and Honey
Take out the inside of the avocado and mix it with honey to form a paste. Apply it on your concerned areas and leave for 15-20 minutes and then rinse off and moisturize.
Potato
Grate a potato and use the pulp and juice directly on the blemishes. The starch of the potato would provide the necessary healing to your skin and reddishness would begin to go away. Put it on your face for half an hour at least before you wash it off with lukewarm water.
Green tea
This is a nice solution to the problem which can make you feel good soon. All you need to do is strain the green tea and let it cool. Once it comes to room temperature put it all in a spray bottle and spritz on your face. You can opt between washing it off or not after it dries.
